Job Purpose

We are looking for an experienced accountant to manage day-to-day accounts payable activities and support accounts receivable, reconciliations, audits and period-end closing. You will bring strong attention to detail, solid knowledge of German accounting standards and a collaborative, service-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Process and pay supplier invoices
• Reconcile accounts, including bank accounts
• Support accounts receivable activities
• Prepare information for year-end and internal audits
• Review travel expenses for tax compliance and process reimbursements
• Maintain accurate, well-organised accounting records
  
  

Qualifications

Position Requirements

• At least five years’ accounts payable experience; accounts receivable experience is a plus
• Knowledge of German accounting standards (HGB); IFRS knowledge is desirable
• Experience with ERP systems for small businesses; D365 experience is an advantage
• Completed commercial or business administration training; further accounting qualifications are welcomed and supported
• Good Excel skills and fluency in German and English
• Experience supporting monthly, quarterly and year-end closing activities
• A careful, accurate and reliable approach
• A friendly, professional communication style with customers, suppliers and colleagues
