These Are The Tasks You Can Expect

• As part of our software development team, you will further develop core operating system components of the BS2000 mainframe operating system and support the entire software lifecycle, from specification and implementation to testing, maintenance, and service support.
• Contribute to the design of innovative and complex IT architectures based on customer requirements.
• Analyze, enhance, and optimize low-level system components in the areas of hypervisors, operating systems, Linux kernels, and device drivers.
• Work in small development teams supported by AI technologies and collaborate closely with our international strategic partners.
• Assist in the provision of technical documentation and create content for user and developer documentation.
• Provide technical support to our service and sales colleagues, including back-level maintenance support and troubleshooting for both proprietary modules and third-party components.
  
  

What You Should Bring

• Successfully completed degree in Computer Science, or a comparable qualification or relevant professional experience in a similar environment.
• Professional experience in software development and programming languages, preferably C/C++, Rust, and scripting languages.
• Knowledge of hypervisors, Linux-based systems, kernel-level development, or driver development is an advantage and offers exciting growth opportunities within the team.
• Experience with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including TDD, Git, Make, documentation standards, and CI/CD processes.
• Strong analytical skills, flexibility, creativity, and a pronounced customer- and service-oriented mindset.
• Excellent German language skills and good English language skills.
