Junior Process & Product Developer - #2707370

Job Description

This is a pivotal international role within the R&D team, working with a product category team to develop and manage the creation of new, dynamic and exciting snacking products across brand and RTB-PLB within Intersnack. You will apply market knowledge and passion for food into inspirational ideas that will enhance the existing range of products as well as using your creative flair to develop new concepts. You will support the Product- & Process Development Managers to establish new Processes and Technologys and develop robust process specifications to produce products according the consumer demands, ensuring costs, line efficiency, no losses and high quality.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve snack products and manufacturing processes based on consumer and customer needs
• Support innovation projects by translating food trends into new product concepts
• Collaborate with R&D teams, suppliers, and technical experts to drive product and process development
• Plan, execute, and evaluate product and production trials, including reporting and analysis
• Support the implementation of new technologies, analytical methods, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards
• Partner with Purchasing and Operations to approve raw materials and optimize product performance
• Monitor market trends, competitors, and emerging technologies to identify innovation opportunities
  
  

Job Requirements

Your profile

• Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Bioengineering
• Ideally first experience in Product Development, Process Development, Food R&D, or Food Manufacturing
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for data-driven decision-making
• Creative, consumer-focused mindset combined with curiosity for new technologies and processes
• Knowledge of food industry standards, quality systems, and food safety regulations
• Excellent communication and project management skills
• Experience in working in an european workculture
• Business fluent in English, German is nice to have bot not a must
• Willingness to travel up to 50%
• This role is located in Düsseldorf - living close to Düsseldorf is mandatory
