The Team
This role sits within the EMEA Corporate Transformation Services (CTS) team, which advises clients on improving profitability, managing crises, and driving sustainable operational and financial performance improvements. The CTS team supports clients across various sectors, for example automotive, chemicals, manufacturing, retail, tech, consumer, working with upper medium-sized businesses and international corporations.
Within CTS, the Deals team focuses on M&A-related transformation situations, supporting clients throughout acquisitions, divestitures, carve-outs and post-merger integrations. We combine deep transformation expertise with hands-on execution capabilities to help clients realize value before, during and after transactions.
How you will contribute
As Director (f/m/d), Deals you will manage the following key responsibilities, supported by the European Corporate Transformation Services team:
- Project Leadership – lead teams in transaction-related transformation projects, collaborating closely with client stakeholders, investors and advisors to ensure successful execution and measurable results.
Portfolio Measures – identify, develop and evaluate strategic portfolio options in buy-side and sell-side situations, including acquisitions, divestitures and corporate reorganizations.
Carve-out & Separation Management – lead clients and project teams through complex carve-out situations, including separation planning, Day-1 readiness, TSA management, TSA exit planning and standalone operating model implementation.
Post-Merger Integration – support and lead integration programs, including synergy identification and capture, integration roadmap development, governance structures and integration management office activities.
Strategic Portfolio Transformation – advise Boards, C-suite executives and shareholders on portfolio optimization, capital allocation decisions and value creation opportunities arising from transaction and transformation initiatives.
Qualifications
An excellent university degree and well-developed analytical skills;
Several years of experience in a leading international consultancy, additional relevant industry experience is highly valued;
In-depth knowledge of transformation projects with a focus on M&A, carve-outs, post-merger integration, restructuring and/or value creation programs;
Demonstrated experience leading complex workstreams and advising senior management, Boards or investors in transaction-related environments;
Goal-oriented mindset, with a focus on achieving results, charismatic personality;
Collaborative and confident working style, combined with excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
Native or business fluent in German and English; proficiency in additional languages is highly desirable.
