Job Description

The Director of Engineering, Cloud & DevOps is a senior practitioner in the world of cloud infrastructure, platform engineering and DevOps wanting to further their technical and client consulting skills as part of collaborative, learning-driven culture dedicated to raising the bar. This is a highly technical, client facing engineering delivery role responsible for envisioning and delivering the cloud transformation experience for customers. The person will also be responsible for helping in pre and post sales effort of PS to win new deals.

Your Impact

• Understand financial services clients’ business outcomes and help define future/evolutionary architecture (e.g. distributed enterprise-scale cloud-native solutions & products), transition states, technology choices and operating model
• Design, build and E2E delivery of strategic cloud platforms at an enterprise level
• Operate at the engineering lead level for cloud platforms with overall accountability of ensuring that the disciplines of networking, security, operations and core cloud platform services are well integrated
• Own the technical delivery engagement including architectural design sessions, specific implementation projects and/or proofs of concept and deployment
• Lead, mentor and collaborate with multidisciplinary global project teams
• Contribute to business development, market leading cloud propositions and accelerators for enterprise scale clients, developing relationships at all levels
• Ensure that Publicis Sapient tracks market leading technology trends with the Cloud market space and contribute to the conversation through thought leadership articles, blog posts and customer connect forums
  
  

Qualifications

Technology

• Extensive experience in delivering cloud platforms at an enterprise level that are secure and resilient
• Sufficient knowledge and command of relevant foundational technology such as Networking, IAM, Security, DevOps sufficient to lead a team of experts from these domains to deliver cloud platforms
• Expertise in design and implementation of cloud services in a highly resilient and scalable manner across multiple cloud regions
• Expert level knowledge and implementation experience on one or more public clouds such as Azure, GCP or AWS
• Proven record of implementing security on cloud platforms with ability to translate high level security requirements into low level cloud service specific security guardrails
• Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or similar
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef
• Experience in architecting DevOps strategy catering to CI/CD for different workload types, application and cloud platforms
  
  

Business & Consulting

• Financial Services – You will have experience shaping and delivering solutions for Financial Services Sector clients (e.g. Retail/Commercial Banking, Capital Markets, Asset Management, Insurance)
• People Management – You will have proven experience of leading distributed teams of 30+ engineers and be responsible for their growth, learning and mentorship
• Consulting – You will be experienced in managing senior stakeholders on the client side and responsible for building client advocates. You will also be experienced in running workshops with clients in a collaborative manner and achieving outcomes
• Agile Delivery – You will be experienced in agile-based delivery across the entire SDLC and have good hands-on experience in managing the agile ceremonies and practices
• Working with unknowns – You’ll have the ability to navigate the unknown and lead from the front in helping structure work and drive solution options and estimations at different RFP stages
• Delivering Business Outcomes – You will be experienced in delivering end-to-end outcomes for clients starting from ideation to value realisation
• Fluency in German and English
