We are looking for a meticulous and strategic Internal Auditor to join our team. As an Internal Auditor, you'll ensure that all our processes and operations comply with internal and external regulations, enhancing the overall effectiveness of our business practices. Your sharp analytical skills will be key in identifying areas for improvement and mitigating risks. How you’ll make an impact:

• Conduct IT control tests to ensure SOX compliance, following established audit standards and guidelines
• Develop detailed audit workpapers and documentation to support findings and actionable recommendations
• Communicate audit results to control owners, provide clear recommendations for corrective actions, and actively follow up on implementation
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure that IT controls are effectively designed and operating efficiently
• Contribute to team strategies, priorities, and initiatives as defined by the audit management team at trivago
  
  
  

What you'll need to thrive:

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, with 3–5 years of IT audit experience, ideally focused on SOX compliance
• A solid understanding of IT General Controls testing and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with diverse business and IT stakeholders, as well as external auditors
• An innovative mindset to challenge the status quo and offer practical improvements, making processes leaner, faster, and more effective
• A willingness to pursue relevant certifications (e.g., CISA, CRISC, etc.) and a strong drive for continuous learning, development, and growth
• Fluency in English, as it is our company’s working language
  
  
  

Stand out with:

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, data analytics, robotic process automation (RPA), or information security
• Professional certifications such as CISA, CRISC, or CIA, which would be a strong plus
