Job Purpose:

To provide a broad range of financial expertise into the local commercial business

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage local relationships with external vendors, such as tax specialists, auditors, etc, as required
• Maintain the accounting records for the local/regional trading company
• Prepare monthly/quarterly/half yearly and annual accordance with Kyowa and KHK timetable, policies and local GAAP
• Preparation of the local interim and annual statutory audits, as part of the Group consolidated audit
• Ensure compliance with local statutory reporting, taxation and other business filing requirements
• Manage proper internal controls for the business which are compliant both at a local and Group/KHK level
• Collect sales taxes from customers and remit them to the government
• Record cash receipts and make bank deposits
• Trainer and main contact person for T&E tool (Concur)
  
  

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

• Qualified accountant with several years proven commercial experience, ideally in the pharmaceutical industry
• Strong financial background including experience in working with a variety of financial reporting systems with an emphasis on Excel
• Strong English skills (both verbal and written) as well as capability to fully communicate in the local language.
• Experience in forecast and budget preparation and reporting
• Hands on experience in preparing monthly, quarterly and annual reports
• Ability to communicate effectively to non­financial personnel
• Knowledge of local tax is preferred
• Proven experience in interrogating numbers and probing for clarity
• Previous experience of multinational operations and inherently tight reporting deadlines would be beneficial
• Experience of dual reporting lines (HO and local management) would be beneficial
