Job Purpose :

To create financial transactions and reports, posting to accounting journals or accounting software as invoices to customers, cash receipts, and supplier invoices. The bookkeeper also reconciles accounts to ensure their accuracy

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Support of debtor /creditor management
• Collect sales taxes from customers and remit them to the government
• Record cash receipts and make bank deposits
• Conduct a monthly reconciliation of bank account
• Conduct periodic reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy
• Assemble information for external auditors for the annual audit
• Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
• Maintain the chart of accounts
• Support of payroll management in a timely manner
• Provide administrative support to management as requested
  
  

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

• Knowledge of bookkeeping practices
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and procedures
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory requirements
• Working knowledge of relevant computer applications
• An associate degree in accounting, finance or business an advantage
• Qualified bookkeeper or accountant with several years proven commercial experience
• Experience in working with small company financial systems
• Strong Excel skills
• Command of English and German
• Hands on experience in monthly, quarterly, annual reporting
