We have a great opportunity available for a Category Development Analyst (f/m/d) to make a difference at Kraft Heinz in Düsseldorf - Germany. You will join a high-performing team and report to the Category Development Lead, serving as the key interface between Marketing, Sales, Field Sales, and retail customers.
As a Category Development Analyst at Kraft Heinz, you will drive business growth through data-driven insights, develop and execute category strategies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business outcomes. You will also provide actionable shopper insights to inform decision-making and identify growth opportunities.
Your Responsibilities

You will join a high-performing team and report to the Category Development Lead, serving as the key interface between Marketing, Sales, Field Sales, and retail customers.
As a Category Development Analyst at Kraft Heinz, you will drive business growth through data-driven insights, develop and execute category strategies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business outcomes. You will also provide actionable shopper insights to inform decision-making and identify growth opportunities.
Your Responsibilities
- Annual and Long-Term Planning
- Develop and manage annual operating plans (AOPs) for your assigned categories, balancing current performance goals with future growth potential and collaborating with various stakeholders across the organization
- Create and update 3- to 10-year strategic plans for our categories, outlining growth opportunities and aligning with market trends and Kraft Heinz's overall objectives
- Performance Review
- Own and develop Monthly Performance Reports (MPRs) for your categories, providing clear insights on performance, opportunities, and risks
- Analyze and connect with key performance indicators (KPIs) such as distribution, sales, and other metrics to measure category success.
- Forecasting and Strategic Planning
- Deliver accurate long-term forecasts, taking into account changes in market dynamics, consumer behavior, and the competitive landscape
- Lead the development of a clear vision for your categories, setting a path for growth that aligns with both customer and Kraft Heinz objectives
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Management or Economics
- 1+ year of experience in Category Management or Commercial functions ideally within the FMCG sector
- Customer-facing experience, preferably in the retail sector
- Very good analytical skills, as well as strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Fluent in English, German is a nice to have
