What is included in the role?

As a development manager (m/w/d) at the Deutsche Postcode Lotterie, you are part of a leadership team in our Group Tech Department. In your role you will mainly focus on technology and people. The role includes:

• Create a culture of innovation and learning using Agile methodologies
• Inspire employees to encourage maximum performance, dedication, and enjoyment of their jobs
• Collaborate with our Group Tech Development Lead on the strategic roadmap for the Group Tech Department
• Work on the strategic roadmap with our international Development Managers, to work towards our international goals
• Staff responsibility for a small group of international developers and 3 Engineering Manager
• We have several Engineers working on international teams with other lotteries
• Lead and Mentor our Engineering Managers
• Manage Educational Platforms and support Employees using them
• Budgetary responsibility
• Recruitment of new colleagues for our development teams
• Arrange hackathons and lab days
• Participate in various forums such as architecture
• Make sure our teams have all the state-for-the-art tools and support they need
• ISO27001 Incident Response, Change Management and Development Process – Maintenance and Reporting (alignment with Group Processes)

You have experience and interest in building and leading development teams in an agile environment and have probably worked as a developer before.
