The Field Applications Scientist is responsible for pre- and post-sales activities such as product demonstrations, customer trainings, customer support, and internal application trainings.

This position reports to the Global Field Applications Manager and is part of the BioLector Field Applications team and will be fully remote.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Provide applications support to existing and new customers, troubleshoot and diagnose application related issues.
• Pair up with sales team for pre-sales presentations and serve as scientific and technical resource.
• Understand the scope of customer projects and be able to support customer workflows.
• Plan and execute product demonstrations for potential customers.
• Maintain positive customer relations through problem-solving and effective communication.
  
  

The essential requirements of the job include:

• University degree in biological sciences, biotechnology or a related field.
• Background and +2 years experience in microbial fermentation.
• Experience of technical or applications support within a life science company
• Knowledge transfer skills and problem-solving skills for effective troubleshooting
• Language skills: Fluency in English is required for this role, any other additional European language is beneficial
  
  

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

• Ability to travel – up to 50% overnight domestic and international travel, sometimes on short notice.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  
  

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Working in a global environment
• Hosting scientific trainings, talks, or webinars
