Decisions at trivago are driven by data. With data, you can make reasoned decisions and drive positive company outcomes. Our Data Intelligence unit is at the center of all other units in the company facilitating data-driven decision making. As a Technical Data Analyst in our Product Intelligence team, you'll have the opportunity to work with some of the richest datasets from the travel industry, drawing conclusions from A/B tests to take our product to the next level. Whether it’s exploratory analysis, or evaluating feature tests, your results will empower our product teams to enhance the user experience.

How you’ll make an impact:

• Dive into user behavior analysis and interpretation to reveal insights that guide business decisions.
• Collaborate with product teams to set up and support test environments, ensuring accurate data logging and analysis.
• Regularly monitor data to identify trends, anomalies, and evaluate A/B tests to help enhance our product offerings.
• Assist with the management of key performance indicators (KPIs), focusing on data processing, reporting, and visualization.
• Communicate findings effectively and provide insightful guidance to help colleagues understand and leverage results.
• Contribute datasets that aid in the development of data-driven product features.
• Partner with product teams to explore and define business opportunities and address user challenges.
  
  
  

What you'll need to thrive:

• 2+ years working experience in data analysis or a related field, with a focus on statistics, data exploration, and visualization.
• A strong analytical mindset, with the ability to process data and generate actionable insights.
• Basic understanding of A/B testing methodologies and data analysis concepts.
• Familiarity with data querying and transformation using SQL and knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R.
• Enthusiasm for learning about big data technologies.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
