As the FEC ESG Manager, you play a crucial role in crafting and implementing an integrated first line FEC ESG approach designed specifically for DLL. This framework will serve to protect our organization against ESG risks related to money laundering. Your responsibility involves establishing, in close corporation with second line compliance, the appropriate framework and facilitating the smooth integration of ESG requirements into our Client Acceptance Journey. Through these efforts, you will drive significant positive impact, enhancing our business decision-making while also promoting a sustainable and responsible future.

Fighting financial crime within DLL and providing excellent service by contributing to a safer and more secure financial system, that is what our FEC team does. The FEC team is in the 1st line of responsibility (1LoR), and we work closely together with the 2nd line of responsibility (2LoR), our Financial Crime Compliance team. Most of the team works from our headquarters in Eindhoven where we support the regions and countries DLL has offices in, and some team members live elsewhere in Europe. Day To Day

  • You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, implementing and continuously improving the first line FEC ESG procedures/ framework.
  • You will identify and analyze developments in the respective regulatory landscape/ policies and procedures. You’ll advise on how their impact can be translated into the first line ESG procedures and across DLL’s country network, aligning with the objectives and priorities of DLL.
  • You will ensure that the procedures/ Framework you develop are compliant with relevant DLL internal policies and standards, Rabobank Group policies and standards, as well as external regulations (ECB, EBA, and others).
  • Continuously, you will advise and challenge the embedding of ESG principles in the FEC Target Operating Model.
  • Support in translating requirements to business operations (systems, tooling) aligning with DLL's and Rabobank’s ESG strategic objectives and customer journey.
  • Your role involves creating insights on ESG requirements within the FEC client acceptance journey across the DLL organization. This includes supporting senior management and the relevant Committees for oversight, as well as driving and facilitating the necessary business changes and key processes.
  • Leverage strong data analysis skills, acknowledging the growing importance of data in the Customer Due Diligence (CDD) / Know Your Customer (KYC) and ESG landscape.
  • Provide a strong focus on business change management, advising business units, the first line FEC network, IT/OPS, and other stakeholders on the FEC ESG program.
  • You will safeguard the correct implementation of FEC ESG guidelines into DLL’s FEC processes & in translating policies and standards into procedures where needed.
  • Overall, you will proactively provide advice, challenge and support regarding FEC ESG matters.
  • You will collaborate with colleagues within various departments of DLL, f.e. Second line Compliance FCC ESG lead and Rabobank and will engage with a diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Additionally, you will work both independently and as part of the FEC team.

Essentials

  • You are skilled in change/implementation management and you have experience in implementing new (regulatory) policies or project management in this field (ESG/FEC)
  • Professional with at least 7+ years of experience in Compliance, FEC or Sustainability within a Financial Services environment or within a Supervisory Authority.
  • University Bachelor’s degree (e.g., in Law, Forensics, Criminology, International Relations, Finance, Business, Sustainability, or a related subject).
  • Passion for and expertise in ESG matters (Environmental, Social, and Governance).
  • Pioneering attitude: Be a self-starter, focused on solutions, and have the ability to understand challenging contexts.
  • Strong communication and international stakeholder management skills, with experience in interacting with senior management.
  • Excellent proficiency in English languages (proficiency in Dutch is beneficial).
